Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Standard Chartered, Howden

has appointed one of its senior figures in Hong Kong, Muska Chiu (pictured below), as team lead, working with clients such as ultra-high net worth individuals at the lender’s private bank.

Chiu is an industry veteran with more than 20 years of distinguished experience in investment and product advisory. Over the past two years, he has successfully led the UK-listed bank’s investment advisory team and helped drive growth in Greater China and North Asia.

With Chiu’s move, the bank has appointed Peter Horng as its new head of investment advisory and product advisory, private banking, Greater China and North Asia.

Horng has more than 25 years’ experience in wealth management at financial institutions, including his previous roles in Citibank, HSBC and UBS in New York and Hong Kong. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Horng spent eight years in DBS and led the integration of its private banking and Treasuries Private Client (TPC) investment advisory teams. He was appointed head of investment products and advisory in 2023 at DBS (Hong Kong).

Howden
, a global insurance intermediary group, has appointed Alaric Lee (pictured below) as chief commercial officer, Asia, based in Singapore.

His appointment, effective 1 December 2025, marks a significant step in strengthening Howden’s commercial leadership and growth strategy across the region, the firm said in a statement.

In his new role, Lee will be responsible for spearheading Howden Asia’s commercial strategy, working directly with country CEOs and business development teams to drive new business and sharpen sales performance.

Lee is joining Howden after 15 years with Marsh, where he most recently served as managing director and corporate and commercial leader for Marsh Asia. He oversaw regional strategies for the middle market and SME segments and led teams across multiple markets.

Welcoming Lee’s appointment, Chye Huat, chair, Howden Asia, said: “His deep regional experience, commercial acumen, and proven leadership will be instrumental in accelerating our growth ambitions and delivering value to our clients across Asia.”
